This is the first time a by-poll has seen political parties releasing election manifesto. Since the Chief Minister's seat is on the cards, TTV Dinakaran , the AIADMK Amma faction's deputy secretary is going all in. While this happens on one side , AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction's O Paneerselvam , the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is battling it out to prevent TTV Dinakaran in getting his hands on the hot seat. Stating if TTV Dinakaran came to power , Edappadi K Palanisamy would lose his post as Chief Minister , OPS has also called his former comrade to come join arms , another drama we expect to happen in the future.
This is the first time in a long time we are seeing two factions of the same party going against each other. While TTV Dinakaran released his manifesto by yesterday, OPS counter-retaliated with his own manifesto, slamming TTV Dinakaran's manifesto as impossible to accomplish.
The Sasikala camp , led by TTV Dinakaran has claimed to construct 57,000 houses in the constituency of RK Nagar. a multi super specialty hospital at Tondiarpet besides 10 mobile hospital in RK Nagar constituency. He has also promised to construct a gymnasium and free training centres for developing soft skills , and also conduct job fairs regularly for the unemployed. He also stated that he'd be continuing the promises made by the late Chief Minister Jayalalitha.
The OPS camp also released their manifesto in the early hours of today. It started with the achievements made by Jayalalitha during her 300 days tenure as MLA. They focussed on the current issues the RK Nagar people are facing. They have promised to put an emphasis on literacy by Madhusudhanan stating that he'd promise to work together with parents and students to bridge the educational gap in this area. Apart from this they have promised to address the drinking water issue , which arose after citizens complained that the drinking water is being allegedly contaminated with sewage water. They have also promised more fair price shops , well laid roads, uninterrupted electricity and more libraries in the area.
While OPS has focused on daily life issues , Dinakaran's manifesto looks out of a dream. Since the by-poll election is getting heated up , we'd be witnessing more parties jumping into the act and more exciting stuffs happening in the future.
