A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of Forum Vijaya Mall at Vadapalani here on Saturday evening.
The police said the girl, identified as Niveda Hari, daughter of Hari Kumar, was residing at Sri Sai Nagar, Virugambakkam. she had scored 480 marks in her Class 10 annual examination and was a bold girl. Now she is XII student and was bit depressed over the last three days
The girl came to the mall in the evening, and around 6.30 p.m., she is suspected to have jumped from the fourth floor of the car parking area at the mall. The girl was rushed to a nearby private hospital, but died on the way.
The Vadapalani police registered a case under CrPC Section 174 (unnatural death) and Further investigation is on.
