It looks like Nokia is planning to catch up to the market once again. 'The dependable' as the brand was originally called by everyone around India , shares few nostalgic moments with each one of us. Be it the first mobile phone we had, or the ever popular snake/space invaders game, everyone of us had our own precious moments with it. Now, it's back to recreate every single bit of it.
The revamped Nokia 3310 doesn't look much like it's ancestor, nor the snake game does, but it still shares some unique unforgettable memories. The phone includes the standard Nokia ringtone, one which would never be forgettable.
The CEO of HMD Global, which currently owns the right to produce Nokia phones said that it's time to have a little fun. The Nokia 3310 doesn't clearly boast anything to be competitive to the much large scaled smartphones, but it's clearly sure that Nokia doesn't wanna lose to the basic phone market too. The spare phone concept has been growing widely due to the lower battery efficiency of smartphones these days and everyone would love a phone which has an extremely long stand by time. What if they say the phone could last a month on full charge? Well who wouldn't love it then.
The Nokia 3310 boasts of a 22 hours talktime and a month of standby time. It also has a 2-MP back camera, boasts of an indestructible chassis, a headphone jack, a 16MB internal storage+32 GB expandable storage, dual sim, a 2.4 inch 240x320 pixels resolution color screen and a 2.5G connection, which lets you browse the web too, but at a considerably smaller speed. Well really slow to be precise.
The phone comes with the standard midnight blue and grey color as well as offering two new colors- a red and a yellow one. The phone also has the iconic snake game, which is also revamped. It looks clear that the phone wouldn't be a competitor to the flagship phone Nokia 6, but as HMD did say, we are looking to have fun, it clearly indicates that they want to get their old customers back.
