‘Kabali’, the Rajnikanth starrer hit the screens on the 22nd of July and broke many records at the box office with its whopping collections. Yes, in just 6 days, the movie crossed the 320 crore mark. There was a huge crowd outside theaters even for 5am shows! This shows how crazy fans are for Thalaivar.
The craze and frenzy that followed ‘Kabali’ was enough to justify those excellent earnings. However, seeing these awesome collections, aren’t you wondering as to how much Rajnikanth earned from this movie? Obviously, this thought must have come to your mind at least once, isn’t it?
According to reports, the budget involved in making ‘Kabali’ is 110 crores and out of that Rajnikanth was given a remuneration of Rs 35 crores. But wait, there is something additional too! Just like all his other movies, he got the profit share as well, since the film was very successful at the box office.
Now, as per the collections and profits, Thalaivar got a share of Rs 45 crores extra, isn’t it great? With this, the total earnings of Rajnikanth become Rs 80 crores (35 crores + 45 crores).
The entire movie, revolving around an aged-gangster is shot in the wonderful locations of Malaysia. ‘Kabali’ also stars Kishore, Winston Chao, Dinesh, Dhanshika, Kalairasan and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.
