Later, a few days back, he had told the police that it was not him who murdered Swathi and they had got the wrong person. But now we have some evidence that is against Ramkumar in this case.

A month after Swathi was murdered in broad daylight, investigators have said that DNA tests have confirmed that the bloodstains on accused Ramkumar’s shirt was of Swathi.

Police had found Ramkumar’s shirt with bloodstains from his room at AS mansion in Choolaimedu. Officers claim that he had tried to wash the stains off the shirt.

Moreover, police found the machete used by the killer in one of the railway tracks and had taken blood samples from it and from the Nugambakkam station.

The officials said that the circumstantial and scientific pieces of evidences are going to play a vital role in the case. However, the report will be submitted at the metropolitan magistrate court in Egmore in few days by forensic officials.
