Everyone driving these days are being lethargic and fail to notice what happens on the road. The accidents rates have increased tremendously. The reason being, we don't follow the simple rules. And why? We don't know them in the first place!
Yeah! So today we thought we'll learn about the different coloured and types of lines used on roads so you might know when and how to drive safely!

WHITE LINES - These lines indicate traffic travelling in your direction.
YELLOW LINES - These lines mark the centre of a two-way road used for two-way traffic.
Solid white Line:

It marks the boundary of the roads. Solid lines indicate that you have to stay in the lane and can't change lanes at any time.
Broken white Line:

Changing lanes is allowed over broken white lines. But only when it's safe. So be cautious while doing so.
Double Broken White Lines:

These are called "THE GIVE WAY" lines. It is meant for giving way to the oncoming traffic and no place for overtaking.
Solid Yellow Line:

This line indicates that you can pass or overtake a vehicle on the road. However, you aren't allowed to cross the yellow line. Also, this rule varies from state to state.
Broken Yellow Line:

When it is safe to cross, you may pass the yellow lines. You just have to be cautious doing it.
Double Solid Yellow Lines:

You can neither pass nor overtake a vehicle when there are double solid yellow lines.
