Sairam Engineering College Students who protested for ABINATH'S DEATH get arrested !

The atrocity what people do when they have power of money and influence!

We just saw the news of Abinath's suicide yesterday. He had hanged himself due to the ill-treatment of his college. This incident has taken place just a few months since the students from Sai Ram Engineering College protested against the management for the harsh treatments.

Less than the next 24-hours after the death of Abinath, the students from the same college who protested for justice for his death have been arrested. Around 60 students were protesting on road, asking for authorities to take the necessary action regarding this issue. However, these students were beaten by the police badly. They have arrested them and kept in the T.Nagar Police station as of now.
Adding onto this, the media has been reporting that Abinath actually committed suicide because he aspired to become a doctor and was forced to do engineering by his parents. As a result he had kept arrears, and had become stressed and depressed in the process.

This is so pathetic and shows how the management can manipulate the situation. Says a second year student, “The college management has a reputation for ill-treating and mistreating students. Also, we weren’t told what had happened when we were asked to leave. The management told us that there was an inspection from Anna University. Also, some of us were told that there was a bomb scare. We have no faith in the college management”.

If all this gets proven to be true, such barbaric acts of private colleges have to be condemned and taken the necessary actions to avoid such mishaps in the future. A student's life is more important than getting placed in reputed company. We just hope that this would be a lesson for all the parents who force their children to join such colleges.
