It looks like the political fever on the state is back once again. After a recent talk by minister Jayakumar with the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy and the leader of the split AIADMK faction O.Panneerselvam , both the split factions have decided to merge once again , in an idea to win the two leaves symbol back. The merger was strained after Panneerselvam has strictly announced that Sasikala's family should be completely removed from the party. This move , which was initially opposed by the Sasikala's AIADMK faction recently got huge support from the party members after TTV Dinakaran has been filed for a corruption case , trying to bribe the Election Commission itself.
Jayakumar , who visited the Chief Minister by the evening of April-18 announced that it was the interest of the party members to completely remove Sasikala and TTV Dinakaran from the party. He has also announced that a separate council would be set-up to guide the party.
Although it has been said by Jayakumar that it was taken after consulting with the entire party members , some MLA's have revolted against the quote , stating it wasn't based on the entire party's wish and might be based on some specific interest.
If the merger is successful and Sasikala's family is banned from the party , we also expect some light on the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha's death. Further retaliation is expected from Dinakaran's side , and further updates would be given after that.
